Rotopounamu Track - Tongariro National parkRotopounamu is nestled on the side of Mt Pihanga, and can be found 11kms off State Highway 47 south of Turangi in Tongariro National Park. The carpark and start of the walk is signposted on the south side of the Pononga Saddle.
Whirinaki River Loop Track - Whirinaki Forest ParkThe Whirinaki Forest is located east of Taupo and southeast of Rotorua on the western edge of Te Urewera National Park.
Rimu Track - Pureora Forest Park The Pureora Forest straddles the Hauhungaroa and Rangitoto Ranges between Lake Taupo and Te Kuiti. A short diversion off SH32 onto Kakaho Rd and you will find yourself at the Rimu Track.
